Impact
The success of this project highlights the effectiveness of our containerised plants in remote and challenging environments. The scalable, reliable system provides WHO-standard drinking water, piped throughout the hotel complex, including accommodation rooms, kitchens, and laundry facilities. Additionally, excess water is sold in reusable 20L bottles – with the entire system completely eliminating the need for single-use plastic bottles.

CASE STUDY:
An existing purification plant was no longer viable due to outdated technology and worn-out components, leading to constant breakdowns. A sustainable long-term solution was needed. Chelsea Water designed and installed a Custom Containerised system with the extreme, corrosive, coastal air and temperatures in Somalia in mind.

Despite the challenging context, the project was seamlessly installed over a three-day period without disruption to the daily water demand, through careful project planning.
